The basics on how bookings, payments, refunds, and disputes work on the Bubbled Up platform.
Bubbled Up is a marketplace that connects customers with verified, independent car wash operators across South Africa. By using the platform you agree to these terms. They’re written in plain English; the full legal-form Terms will be published before the mobile app launch and will align with this summary.
Bubbled Up (Pty) Ltd operates the platform. Car wash operators are independent partners. Bubbled Up vets each operator for ID, location, and equipment, but is not the service provider — the wash itself is performed by the partner.
All bookings and payments are processed through TradeSafe escrow. Your payment is held in a regulated escrow account until your wash is complete and you’ve confirmed pickup by scanning the QR code or sharing your pickup PIN.
Disputes are mediated through TradeSafe’s regulated dispute-resolution process. Funds remain in escrow until the dispute is resolved. Both parties submit evidence; TradeSafe makes a binding decision under the Financial Sector Conduct Authority framework.
Stamps and Suds points earned through the Loyalty Programme are tied to your verified profile. They cannot be transferred, sold, or redeemed for cash. Programme rules and tier benefits may change with 30 days’ notice; existing balances honour the rules at the time they were earned.
Bubbled Up is not liable for damage caused by partners during a wash. Partners carry their own operational responsibility. If something goes wrong with a wash, raise it through the in-app dispute process — we’ll mediate and recover funds via TradeSafe where the partner is at fault.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, abuse the platform, or where there is reasonable suspicion of fraud. Suspended customers receive a refund of any escrowed funds for un-fulfilled bookings.
If we make material changes we will notify you by email and update the “last updated” date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by South African law. The courts of the Western Cape have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions? Email info@bubbledup.co.za.
